BALTIMORE -- Officials expect a $14 million nationwide prescription depression drug settlement to net about $260,000 for Maryland.
The attorney general's office said the settlement was filed in a federal court in Philadelphia on Monday.
State officials said the settlement resolves claims that GlaxoSmithKline, the manufacturer of Paxil, delayed generic drug-makers from competing with Paxil by fraudulently listing a patent for the drug.
The attorney general's office said the settlement will recover state claims for Medicaid and other prescription drug plan purchases of Paxil on behalf of needy citizens. |
